Used c1981 Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus combo amp serial number 523130. This amp is in very good condition, fully functional. Cosmetically it’s in nice shape, for some reason the mounting blocks that hold the back panel in place have been removed. We do have the back panel.

1. Apr 3, 2014 - I found this JC-120 for $125 at the local used music shop in Nagano-city, JAPAN. The serial number indicates it is a 1996 model JC-120U.
2. In circa 1982 Roland entirely revised the chorus/vibrato circuit. Re: Roland JC-120. This is JC120 with serial number 636208. JC-120 from 380100.

The “back story”:

Jazz Chorus is the name given to a series of solid-state instrument amplifiers produced by the Roland Corporation in Japan since 1975. Its name comes from its built-in analog chorus effect, and its pristine, clean sound. The Jazz Chorus is one of the few 1970s solid-state amplifiers from Japan that continues to thrive, and fans of its 'powerful, clean tone' include James Hetfield, Andy Summers and Joni Mitchell, along with countless other artists.

The JC-120 features two separate 60 watt RMS power amps to allow for true stereo chorus, two channels, one clean, the other with effects. The built-in effects include stereo chorus, vibrato, reverb, and distortion. The amplifier features high and low inputs, as well as a three band equalizer and volume for each channel

There are not many amplifiers that have been in production this long; it's understandable considering the beautiful sound. Own an original!
